The “art vs. craft” conundrum has infiltrated the world of micro-brewing, otherwise known as “artisanal brewing” or is it “craft brewing?” You can be the judge beginning at 5 p.m., this Saturday, March 12 as the the Sonoma Community Center hosts “Beer-vana: Nirvana for Beer-Lovers.”
The 21 and over event will feature a couple dozen local and regional beer breweries supplemented by nosh from local coffee houses and live tunes courtesy of the Jason Bodlovich Trio.
“We’re hoping people take this opportunity to come down to the community center and try a bunch of different styles of beer, side-by-side, and develop an appreciation for the skill that goes into producing serious beer,” event co-organizer David Daniel told the Sonoma Index-Tribune.
The $30 ticket prices includes the brew, foods and tunes as well as a commemorative beer glass. All proceeds benefit Sonoma Community Center's arts education programming –or is it “crafts?”
Sonoma Community Center is located at 276 E. Napa St., Sonoma, CA. For tickets, call (707) 938-4626, ext. 1, or visit sonomacommunitycenter.org.
