It's too heavy to call smooth, but it's easier drinking than its complexity would suggest. Like the song says 'smoke on the porter,' more finesse than you might expect even a good smoked brew to have, with dark chocolate aftertaste. Moderately bold with a definite but restrained effervescence. --Betty Pipetti
