Capital Brewing Company is a microbrewery based in Middleton, Wisconsin.

The brewery offers a tour for $2.75 that includes a tasting in either the indoor Bier Stube or outdoor Bier Garten. Visitors are welcome to drop by and sample the brews on tap; the beers are also available for purchase in bottles at the Gift Haus.

Capital also brews its own root beer and cream soda, which are available on tap at the brewery.

Branding[]

Capital Brewing Company focuses on producing beers in traditional German style, but does produce original beers as well. All Capital's brews aim to be flavorful and distinctive.

History[]

  • Before becoming a brewery, the building housing the Capital Brewing Company was the Mazomanie Egg Plant, an egg processing center.
  • The current brewmaster, Kirby Nelson, has been with the brewery since 1986. Nelson likes creating dopplebocks.
