Introduced in 1994 as "Ice Draft by Budweiser", it is more alcoholic (5.5% ABV) than Budweiser. The height of its popularity came in the mid-90's alongside an advertising campaign that involved a malevolent penguin that stalked Bud Ice drinkers and stole their beer while singing his signature song of "Dooby-dooby-doo"... a play off of the first five notes to the song "Strangers in the Night".

in one commercial, he says "are you enjoying your bud ice? heh heh dooby dooby doo!" in another one he doesn't say "dooby dooby doo'' he stays quiet

The commercials include one where a guy is running away because he is being stalked by an unknown character, he gets on a train to go hide somewhere in Budapest, but sees the penguin reading a newspaper, one where someone says that the penguin has been caught, but is hiding in a radio, one where he is shaking a house, and one where he appears in the backseat of a car.
